Partnership Building Activity "Empowering Youth Workers"

The PBA took place from March 8-17, 2024, bringing together 18 dedicated youth workers and leaders aged 18 and above from 10 different countries. This diverse group represented a wide range of organizations, experiences, and cultural backgrounds, creating a rich learning environment for all involved.

As part of our Erasmus+ Accreditation activities, Vidin Fund successfully organized and hosted the Partnership Building Activity (PBA) "Support for Youth Workers." This impactful event was designed to enhance the skills of youth workers in developing and managing Erasmus+ projects, fostering international collaborations, and strengthening the European youth work network.

The primary objectives of the PBA were to improve participants' ability to develop high-quality Erasmus+ project proposals, foster international partnerships among organizations, enhance understanding of Erasmus+ priorities and inclusion strategies, and develop practical project management skills. These goals were pursued through a carefully crafted program of workshops, seminars, and collaborative activities.

Throughout the mobility participants engaged in intensive learning sessions covering various aspects of Erasmus+ project development. Topics included needs analysis, objective setting, activity planning, budget management, and impact assessment. The program also featured sessions on inclusion strategies, ensuring that future projects would effectively engage young people with fewer opportunities.

A key outcome of the PBA was the development of five concrete project proposals, ready for submission in the next Erasmus+ deadline. These projects, conceived and developed during the activity, demonstrate the immediate practical application of the skills and knowledge gained by the participants.

In addition to the project proposals, the PBA resulted in the creation of an online collaboration platform. This digital space allows participants to continue sharing resources, seeking advice, and collaborating on future projects, ensuring the sustainability of the partnerships formed during the activity.

The PBA "Support for Youth Workers" had a significant impact on both individual participants and their sending organizations. Youth workers reported increased confidence in their project development skills and a deeper understanding of the Erasmus+ program. Many expressed excitement about implementing their new knowledge in their local contexts and initiating international projects.

One of the most valuable outcomes of the PBA was the strengthened network of youth organizations across Europe. Participants forged strong professional relationships, laying the groundwork for future collaborations and exchanges. This network is expected to significantly enhance the quality and reach of youth work in the participating countries.

While the PBA was highly successful, it also presented some challenges. The varying levels of experience among participants required careful balancing of the program content. However, this diversity ultimately enriched the learning experience, with more experienced youth workers sharing their insights and newcomers bringing fresh perspectives.

The PBA "Support for Youth Workers" exemplifies Vidin Fund's commitment to capacity building in the youth sector and fostering international cooperation. As we continue our work under the Erasmus+ Accreditation, we look forward to seeing the fruits of this PBA in the form of innovative youth projects and strengthened international partnerships across Europe.
